ATN MARS2X Gen IV Night Vision Weapon Scope comes from the world's largest line of professional night vision devices. Inspired by ATN's quest for technical perfection and named after the Roman God of War, these ATN rifle scopes represent the absolute latest in the world of night vision equipment. Similar to all Aries rifle scopes the ATN MARS2x Generation IV NV Rifle Scope features only the purest grades of heavy glass and computer-aided optical designs to create multi-element, high-speed, multi-coated lenses for ultra-fast light transmission and resolution beyond current military standards. All optical lenses on these ATN night vision scopes are individually fitted and calibrated to achieve optimum performance.

ATN Mars2x Gen 4 Night Vision Riflescopes come with one of two tubes: a fourth generation filmless tube and a White Phosphor Technology tube. Generation IV Autogated/Filmless tubes improve night operational effectiveness in dynamic lighting conditions such as those experienced, for example, in night operations in urban areas. The filmless micro channel plate provides a higher signal-to-noise ratio than standard Gen 3 night vision, resulting in better image quality under low-light conditions. An autogated power supply further improves image resolution under high light conditions and adds a reduced halo effect that minimizes interference from bright light sources.

If you choose the White Phosphor Technology (WPT) tubes on the ATN Mars2x Fourth Gen Night Vision Scope, it will replace the traditional green hue of night vision with a higher clarity black and white picture. The majority of the WPT performance characteristics are on par or better then the latest Gallium Arsenide-based image intensifier tubes. WPT specifications include typical resolution of 68 lp/mm (with some over 74 lp/mm) and Signal-to-Noise figures as high as 25. Operators that tested units that use ATN White Phosphor Technology reported a significantly better degree of detail, overall contrast, full moon similarity and range of shades. WPT provides more discriminating shades of intensity between white and black than between green and black, resulting in better contrast and depth perception than when compared to green phosphor night vision. Units with 4th generation autogated/filmless IITs have a typical resolution of 64-72 lp/mm and a minimum signal to noise ratio of 24.
