With 8mm more mirror diameter than 125mm telescopes, the ASTELE™ 133.5 OTA (Optical Tube Assembly) is excellent either for observing the heavens. For super-sharp astrophotography, use the ASTELE™ 133.5 with your own tripod, or select the ASTELE™ 133.5 G with a German Equatorial Mount, slow motion controls, setting circles and tripod, or the ASTELE 133.5 EL, which has all the features of the "G" with added electric clock drive.

Because larger mirrors mean more light-gathering capability, the extra 8mm over 125mm designs provides superior performance for "pulling-in" faint objects and allows a higher degree of magnification with less loss of resolution.

The 5.25" Maksutov Cassegrain Rumak optical design reaches the theoretical limits of resolution with perfectly figured mirrors and multi-coated, diffraction-limited optics for superb 35mm images.

A standard 25mm 1.25" O.D. eyepieces comes with the unit to provide 53x magnification and you can easily increase magnification to 134x with the easy addition of a 10mm eyepiece. The OTA includes a 1.25" 90° star diagonal and 8x 40mm finder telescope. Optical Tube Assemblies are ready to mount on your selection of tripods with standard 1/4"-20 screwthread.

The ASTELE™ 133.5 is also available with German Equatorial Mount as the ASTELE™ 133.5 G, or with fork mount and motor drive as the ASTELE™ 133.5 EL.
A Free lens shade is included with all three models of ASTELE 133.5.
