Product Category Description:

Ideal for body fluid sample collection, transport, analysis, and archiving. After collecting dried blood spots, the sample collection paper can be used in newborn screening programs for phenylketonuria (PKU), congenital hypothyroidism, galactosemia, branched-chain ketonuria, maple sugar urine disorder, and sickle-cell anemia. Paper can also be used to screen for HIV, HCV, hemoglobin A1c, and other epidemiological applications. Manufactured from 100% pure cotton linters with no wet-strength additives. The protein saver card has a sample collection area of five 1.3cm (1/2") circles, with each circle holding 75–80µL of sample. The wraparound cover has spaces for name and date of collection. Cards fit into the foil barrier Ziploc* bags for storage. The snap-apart protein saver card has a sample collection area of four 1.3cm (1/2") circles, with each circle holding 75–80µL of sample. The 903 paper in this card is enclosed between two pieces of cover stock. One cover is snapped off while the other cover folds over the sample. Protein saver cards are for research use only. Dry Rak card drying racks are designed to accommodate multiple collection forms at one time, safely and properly air-drying the blood specimens suspended in a horizontal position. Racks are easily assembled, can be affixed to a wall or countertop, and are available with Velcro* stickers.
